Lots of opportunities for discussion and retrieval practices embedded throughout. Includes a GCSE style evaluation question. Used with KS3 but could be amended with simpler tasks for KS2 or developed with more own research for KS4.

6 lessons on Christian Moral Action for OCR A Level. Includes P/P, glossary, sheets and essay planning activity. Lots of discussion opportunities on Bonhoeffer’s life and theology.

25 keyword wordsearch on the life of Moses. Includes a P/P so that students can come up to the board and show the class where the words are. Suitable for KS2/3

5 lessons on marriage for KS3. Covers why people get married, the purposes of the Catholic marriage, the Catholic Wedding ceremony, why people would choose a secular wedding, Christian views on sex outside marriage, a poster task, an extended writing task on sex outside marriage, an evaulation question with feedback and plan and a wedding planning challenge. Could easily be extended into 7/8 lessons with quizes or bingo etc or shortened to 3 lessons without the research and poster task.

3 lessons on Euthanasia covering law, famous cases, non religious and Christian views. Suitable for KS3/4

Lesson on the Hierarchy of the Catholic Church. Put class into 7 groups. Give each student a copy of the pyramid and each group info on one section. Students add 3-5 facts on the correct section of their pyramid. Pupils then move into 3/4 groups with one person from each of the original groups in. Pupils teach each other what they have until their pyramid is complete.

Two lessons on Rites of Passage in Islam. A group fact finding activity followed by a feedback task that is a mix of individual, group and class work. Suitable for KS3.

Lesson and activity sheets on Jacob and Esau and the stolen blessing. Pupils to recognise their differences and how the different people in the story would feel at the end.

Marketplace lesson on Vocation in Christianity. As part of a yr8 unit on Church but could be adapted for KS3 or KS4

Independant Work Task on CAFOD. All the information students needs to create a factfile. They have front end feedback for the task and clips from CAFOD to go along with each part of the factfile needed.

2 lessons on the Catholic Mass including all worksheets. Used with KS3 for a topic on Christianity. Contains a GCSE style question for the EDEXCEL GCSE but feedback could easily be adapted for other marking.

Lesson on the Tanakh and Talmud. Used for the unit Practices in the EDEXCEL GCSE Judaism.

2 lessons on Euthanasia for KS5 Core RE, would also work for KS4. Very discussion based with lots of opportunites for students to begin to form their own opinion on Euthanasia.

Lesson on the Incarnation of Jesus used for GCSE EDEXCEL Catholic Christianity. Could easily be tweaked for a KS3 lesson on the same topic. Updated Dec’ 2024
